Our Community Sport and Recreation team works alongside West Auckland clubs, codes, schools, churches and cultural groups to strengthen how community sport and recreation is delivered and experienced.

The Healthy Active Learning team supports 20 West Auckland primary and intermediate schools, building on existing mahi as each school weaves movement, sport, culture, arts and wellbeing into everyday life for tamariki.

Healthy Families Waitākere partners with local people to bring to life the changes they want to see in schools, workplaces, sports clubs, marae and community spaces. We work in the places where we live, learn, work and play, helping shape healthier environments so people can lead longer, happier lives.

Tu Manawa Active Aotearoa Funding
Tu Manawa funding helps tamariki (5-11), rangatahi (12-18) and young people up to 21 access quality play, active recreation and sport in their communities. The fund prioritises underserved groups, including girls, young women, and disabled young people.
